Fung + Bedford and Penhaligons

Fung + Bedford, the partnership of Angela Fung and Ashley Bedford, transform flat materials into intricate structures. Light and shadow become part of the work, revealing different rhythms and surfaces as the viewer moves.
Angela’s work features in The Other Side of the Story at Penhaligon’s on the King’s Road, alongside Anne Petters, Sofia Karakatsanis and Natascha Maksimovic. Presented in partnership with the Queen Elizabeth Scholarship Trust, the exhibition brings together four artists whose work rewards a closer look.
It is an invitation to encounter sculpture somewhere unexpected - and discover how much possibility a seemingly simple material can hold.
With the support of Firmdale Hotels and the discerning eye of Kit Kemp, its Founder and Creative Director, Fung + Bedford exhibited a large-scale work at Treasure House Fair in 2026.
The private view was so crowded it was hard to see all the pieces, which is another strong indicator that collaborations outside of the gallery walls are developing a cross section audience that is engaged and active. Founded in London in 1870 by Cornish barber William Penhaligon, the perfume house has a history rooted in invention. Its first fragrance, Hammam Bouquet, was created in 1872, inspired by the Turkish baths on Jermyn Street.
Today, that curiosity finds a fresh expression in The King’s Road Collection. By dedicating prime retail space to contemporary art and craft through its partnership with QEST, Penhaligon’s is creating a destination with reasons to visit, linger and return. Congratulations to the team for giving artists this platform and bringing their work into the everyday life of the King’s Road - a thoughtful example of how a heritage brand can keep looking forward.
